Chalk up another name on the board of fighters who’ve been released from the UFC in recent weeks.

The UK’s Nick Osipczak is the latest to be shown the exit after his decision loss to Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig at UFC 122 earlier this month.

The fight always had the air of being a ‘loser leaves town’ match-up with both men struggling to get a win under their belts recently. Osipczak will no doubt be ruing the outcome though, having appeared to be getting the better of Ludwig early in the fight before completely running out of gas in the third round.

Osipczak arrived in the UFC via TUF season 9 and racked up two wins in 2009, but this year has been a different story, dropping to three straight decision losses.

The 25 year-old will now have to ply his trade elsewhere for the time being, but he has been told by UFC officials that he could return assuming he can get back to winning ways.
