After being released from the UFC for the second time in his career after a loss at UFC 125 on New Years Day, veteran fighter Phil Baroni has moved quickly to sign a new multi-fight deal with Titan Fighting Championships.

“I’m very happy and excited to re-start my career with Titan Fighting in Kansas City,” Baroni said in the official press release. “I have another chapter to write and it starts March 25. The best NYBA ‘eva is fighting for Titan… People love a comeback.”

For those not familiar with the promotion, Titan FC already have 15 events under their belt and are now looking to make a big push in 2011.

Their first event of the year, Titan FC 16, is set to air live on HDNet on January 28th, with a headline fight feature former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia Vs former TUF 10 competitor Abe Wagner. The event will also feature a number of other familiar names such as Jason High, Drew McFedries and L.C Davis.

Despite now being 34 and holding a less than impressive career record of 13-13, Titan CEO Joe Kelly didn’t hesitate to sign, ‘The New York Badass’ when he became available, beating off competition from a number of other promotions.

“Phil has a star quality to him that so few fighters have and win or lose he has always fought with a true warrior’s mentality,” Kelly said.
