UFC Fighter Tito Ortiz Arrested On Suspicion Of Domestic Violence

Breaking news coming from TMZ today revealed that police were called to a disturbance at the home of UFC star Tito Ortiz and his partner Jenna Jameson.

Later it emerged that Ortiz had been arrested for domestic violence, with Jameson believed to have suffered ‘visible injuries.’

The fighter is now believed to be in custody and en-route to Huntington Beach jail.

Ortiz has recently been starring opposite Chuck Liddell as a coach on the Ultimate Fighter Season 11 on Spike TV.  The fighter was expected to fight his long-time rival Liddell at the show’s conclusion in June, but it was later discovered that Ortiz had been unable to complete filming of TUF due to an undisclosed reason.  Rich Franklin is believed to have stepped in as his replacement and has now been confirmed as  Liddell’s opponent at UFC 115.

Ortiz and Jameson have been through a rough spell recently with Ortiz believed to have been admitted to hospital with a severe case of flu last month, while around the same time Jameson revealed that she had a miscarriage.  The couple, who are not married, already have two twin boys.

With Ortiz being one of the most recognizable stars in MMA and Jameson being a world famous adult movie star, this story is sure to attract significant media attention in the coming days.  Hopefully the sport as a whole doesn’t get dragged through the mud as a result.

Update: As you might expect TMZ are all over this story and have published a brief video of Jenna Jameson she fights back tears as she confirms she is ‘ok’ but confirms that Ortiz is in jail and she will be pressing charges.

A man, believed to be her father appears with her in the video and is believed to be the person responsible for calling the police this morning.

Footage was also posted on TMZ of Ortiz being led out of the house he shares with Jameson and placed into a waiting police car.
