Roman Kopylov proved to the be the superior striking technician against Atea Gautier tonight at UFC 332, steering clear of his opponents power punches and then punishing him with clean, accurate strikes to secure a 1st round TKO stoppage win.

Round One

Inside leg kick from Kopylov. Gautier comes forward swinging wide punches, but doesn’t land and Kopylov looks to counter.

Big kick from Gautier lands under the armpit. Kopylov just steers his head clear of another couple of power punches.

Straight left from Kopylov. He lands that again. Gautier with an aggressive combination that Kopylov is able to steer clear of and then land a counter.

Punch to the body for Gautier. More big swings and misses from Gautier.

Kopylov blasts Gautier with another straight left and that may well have hurt him. Kopylov connects with a right hook now and it floors Gautier! He immediately follows him down and unleashes a barrage of hammerfists to his still dazed opponent, and that’s it, Kopylov wins by TKO at 3:12mins of the opening round.
