Two of Strikeforce’s most promising 145lb female fighters Ronda Rousey and Julia Budd have agreed to face each other at an as yet unannounced Strikeforce event in November.

Former Judo olympic bronze medalist Rousey has recently been making waves in the dvision after turning pro back in March. she already has three first round submission wins under her belt, including in her Strikeforce debut against Sarah D’Alelio last month.

Budd is another fighter making a name for herself after crossing over from a successful kickboxing career where she once defeated Gina Carano.

All three of her professional bouts have come in the Strikeforce cage, going 2-1 in the process with her only loss coming against another of the division’s hot properties Amanda Nunes.

With current champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos finally putting pen to paper on a new deal with the promotion after a year on the sidelines it’s good to see some new talent emerging, and either of these two ladies could be a potential challenger for her in the future.
