It’s been almost a month to the day since Roy Nelson became the latest winner of The Ultimate Fighter reality show by knocking out Brendan Schaub, and in an interview with Fanhouse reporter Ariel Helwani he admits he is eager to get further fights in the UFC in the coming year.
“I actually don’t know when my next fight is. I can’t wait. It’s 2010 and I think it’s going to be a good year.”
Despite being in the dark as to when his bout will be, Nelson has an idea of when he’d like to fight next.
“I think March or April would be great,” the former IFL champ says.
Getting more specific he puts his hat in the ring for the UFC 112 card in Abu Dhabi by stating that he would love to fight on the same event as the man who gave him his BJJ black belt, Renzo Gracie (who is set to fight Matt Hughes).
