Middleweight Ryan Jensen has become the first casualty of last weekend’s UFC 129 event, having been released from his contract following his first round submission loss to Jason MacDonald.

“Saw it Coming,” Jensen admitted on Facebook. “Now its time to turn the page! I wanto to say thanks to Jackson’s MMA and all the Coaches and Training Partners and to all the Friends/Family I have met along the way! Thanks for all the Support it was One Hell of A Ride!!! Back to Coaching and helping out at my Gym Premier Combat Center in Omaha!”

This was Jensen’s second spell in the UFC after having gone 0-2 during 2007 from bouts with Thales Leites and Demain Maia.

He was then recalled in 2008 but has continued to struggle in the 185lb weight-class, going 2-4 with his only wins coming against Steve Steinbass and Jesse Forbes.
