Former UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo has died after being the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Edmonton, Canada on Sunday morning.

An official police statement stated that the 34 year-old Jimmo was involved in a brief verbal altercation with another driver in the parking lot of a lounge at 2.15am on Sunday morning.

During the confrontation Jimmo had momentarily approached the other vehicle, a pickup truck containing at least two Caucasion males, but then started to walk back to his own car.

As he did so the other vehicle suddenly accelerated and ran him over before speeding off. Jimmo was rushed to hospital where he was declared deceased.

Homicide police in Edmonton are now seeking to apprehend the suspects, who’s vehicle is described as a dark-colored, older-model pickup truck with an extended cab which was customized with a lift kit, oversized tires and clear tail lights.
