Sarah Kaufman Back On Track After Win At AFC 5

Former Strikeforce woman’s 135lb champion Sarah Kaufman earned a win at AFC 5 – Judgement Day at the weekend, beating experied Japanese fighter Megumi Yabushita.

The fight was Kaufman’s first since losing her title to Marloes Coenen in October of last year, and takes her career record to 13-1.

Kaufman controlled the bout from start to finish, with the end coming in the final round due to a TKO from strikes on top.

Despite fighting for a different promotion on this occasion, Kaufman is still under contract with Strikeforce, and hopefully her next fight there will come sooner rather than later, with a fight against the winner of Coenen Vs Meisha Tate (who she has a win over) amongst the possibilities for her return.
