DREAM lightweight champion Shinya Aoki will feature at the promotion’s next big event in September and he’s once again being lined up to face U.S opposition.

Former WEC lightweight championRob McCullough will be Aoki’s third American opponet in a row, having successfully defeated both Lyle Beerbohm and Rich Clementi earlier this year.

McCullough is coming off a third round TKO loss to Patricky Freire at Bellator 36 in May, but had two wins under his belt fighting for the Tatchi Palace Fights promotion prior to that.

In essence this is another striker vs grappler match-up, with McCullough’s muay thai skills giving him an advantage on the feet, while Aoki should be able to have his way with ‘Razor’ fairly comfortably if he can get the fight to the mat.
