Spike TV have made a further commitment to the combat sports world by signing up kickboxing promotion GLORY to a multi-year deal.
GLORY is currently the world’s leading kickboxing organization and recently held a one-night star-studded tournament in New York which was won by Tyrone Spong who also competes in MMA for the World Series Of Fighting promotion.
This deal compliments Spike TV’s current deal with MMA promotion Bellator and will see live GLORY shows broadcasting on selected Saturday nights.
“Glory kickboxing is the next big thing and Spike clearly knows something about spotting aces in the sports programming space,” GLORY CEO Andrew Whittaker said in a statement.
This is good news for fight fans with Spike TV being an easily accessible channel to watch the world’s best kickboxing talent.
Unfortunately the legendary heavyweight giant Semmy Schilt won’t be one of them though despite having been affiliated with the promotion as he’s just announced his retirement at the age of 39 after discovering he has a heart condition.
