There’s no doubt who the big earner was on this past weekend’s Strikeforce: Feijao Vs Henderson card.
The promotion’s newly crowned light-heavyweight champion Dan Henderson earned a guaranteed $250,000, win or lose, against Rafael ‘Fejiao’, who by contrast took home just $28,000.
Tim Kennedy was the second highest paid fighter on the card, banking $50,000 for his swift submission victory over Melvin Manhoef.
Meanwhile Strikeforce woman’s 135lb champion Marloes Coenen’s pay cheque was only $10,000, but due to technicalities with her European citizenship it’s believed that she earned more than is officially recorded here.
New signing Jorge Masvidal was the only fighter on the main card to earn a win bonus, and that took his total earnings for his victory to $30,000.
