UFC 111 will be something of a milestone for British mixed martial arts as Dan Hardy will be the first UK fighter ever to fight for a title in the promotion.

Marking the occasion, Gareth Davies of respected UK broadsheet newspaper The Telegraph sat down for an in-depth interview with the welterweight fighter before he headed off to the U.S for the fight on March 27th.

Watch below as Hardy recalls his introduction to martial arts at the age of six and traveling to the U.S in his early 20’s to see how some of the emerging stars of the sport trained. He also offers his thoughts on his opponent – dominant champion Georges ‘Rush’ St-Pierre.
