Though it may not be keeping pace with the record ratings of the 10th season of the The Ultimate Fighter which was boosted by the presence of Kimbo Slice, TUF season 11 is producing respectable numbers during it’s first six weeks on Spike TV.

The show started positively with 1.9 million viewers for the season premiere at the conclusion of UFN 21 in March, but then dipped to 1.5 million the following week.  Interestingly, the viewership then began to pick up again, peaking at 2 million for episode 4.

Last nights sixth episode was watched by 1.7 million viewers and a 1.3 household rating.  It also made an impact in the coveted 18-34 and 18-48 age brackets, coming in second only to an NBA match during it’s time-slot.

Sometime later this month on the show it is expected that we will learn the mysterious reason why Tito Ortiz is no longer fighting Chuck Liddell.  That episode could well provide the 11th season with it’s strongest ratings so far.
