Brazilian fighter Thiago Tavares is reported to have failed a post-fight drugs test following ‘UFC On FX 7’ in Sao Paulo last month.
That’s the world according to the TATAME site who report that the fighter will receive a nine-month suspension from the sport.
However, it’s not yet been revealed exactly what substance it is that Tavares was caught using.
Whatever it was it didn’t help him in the fight – he was KO’d by Khabib Nurmagomedov in less than two minutes at the event.
Tavares has been with the UFC since 2007 and currently holds a record of 6-5-1 inside the Octagon.
