Earlier today Pedro Rizzo pulled out of his headline bout against Tim Sylvia at ProElite 2 on November 5th and the promotion have now established his replacement.
German heavyweight Andreas Kraniotakes will now step in for Rizzo against Sylvia.
The 29 year-old goes by the nickname ‘Big Daddy’, stands 6ft 3″, 255lbs and has compiled a record of 12-4 fighting European opposition his native Germany.
While it’s good that ProElite have been able to secure a decent opponent for Slyvia at relatively short notice there’s no doubt that this switch takes some of the shine of the event given that Kraniotakes is a relative unknown in the States.
The company hope the event, which also features Andrei Arlovski Vs Travis Fulton, will be broadcast on television and are believed to have been in discussions with HDNet, but so far a deal has not been struck.
