Tim Sylvia Vs Jerome Le Banner Added To DREAM NYE Event – But It’s Pro-Wrestling

Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia will compete against K-1 Legend Jerome Le Banner at DREAM’s NYE event on December 31st, but it’ll be a pro-wrestling bout.

Sylvia was originally expected to face Brett Rogers at the Japanese show in an MMA bout, but Visa issues forced Rogers out of the contest.

The promotion were keen to keep Sylvia on-board however and have now found a way to do so with this ‘fake’ bout.

It all seems to be a bit of a waste of time for me, but DREAM are leaning pretty heavily on the pro-wrestling angle for this year’s New Year’s celebrations with others like Josh Barnett, Kazushi Sakuraba and Peter Aerts also scheduled to be involved.

Luckily a previously scheduled heavyweight clash between Fedor Emelianenko and Satoshi Ishii which headlines the event will be a real mixed martial arts bout.
