The UFC have announced that Tito Ortiz Vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been added to December’s UFC 140 event.

The fight had originally been planned for UFN 24 in March, but Ortiz pulled out after suffering a cut in training in the weeks leading up to the bout.

Nogueira would go on to fight Phil Davis instead, losing by decision, while Ortiz produced an unexpected win over Ryan Bader months later, though his rise back to prominence was short lived as he would go on to lose by TKO to Rashad Evans just a month later after accepting the fight on short notice.

So now both men will finally meet, and the stakes are much the same as they were before with the two veterans each needing a win to provide some sense of stability to their future in the promotion.

Rogerio’s brother Antonio Rodrigio Nogueira will also fight on the UFC 140 card against Frank Mir in what may well turn out to be the main event of the evening, with Ortiz Vs Lil Nog taking co-main event honors.
