With the Brock Lesnar Vs Shane Carwin title fight now postponed until January 2nd after Lesnar fell ill with the flu, UFC 106 on November 21st has been left without a main event.

Luckily for the promotion they have a potential main event already scheduled for the card.

“Stepping up into the main event slot will be the highly-anticipated rematch between former light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin,” the promotion reveals on ufc.com

Ortiz and Griffin had originally been slated to fight as the co-main event of the evening.  Though unlikely to draw the kind of PPV numbers that Brock Lesnar appears capable of doing, Tito Ortiz has been a considerable draw for the promotion in the past.

Whether he, and Griffin, who’s stock took a dip after being humbled by Anderson Silva in his last fight, can still capture the publics imagination remains to be seen.
