Light-heavyweight’s Tito Ortiz and Ryan Bader will fight at July 2nd’s UFC 132 event In Las Vegas according to multiple sources today.

Ortiz had originally been lined up to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the main event of this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 24 event, but he had to pull out after a clash of heads in training left him with over 20 stitches and a slight concussion.

Meanwhile Bader, who’s twelve fight unbeaten run came to an end against Jon Jones back in February, recently called out Ortiz on ESPN.

At first Ortiz seemed less than enthusiastic about the fight, saying that he wanted a big name opponent, but on Twitter today he revealed that Dana white has convinced him to take it.

“@ryanbader want some? You will get some. Let’s go!!!!!” the former champion declared.

On paper this doesn’t seem like a good match-up for Ortiz, who is at this stage fighting for his place in the UFC after going 0-4-1 since December of 2006.

Ortiz himself has claimed that to get back in the win column he needs to return to his wrestling base, but he’s going to have a hard time making that work against a big, powerful wrestler like Bader, while on the feet the younger fighter definitely has more power in his hands.
