It turns out that Efrain Escudero is not the only fighter to be shown the exit following last Wednesday,’s UFC Fight Night 22 event. It’s since been revealed that both middleweight Tomasz Drwal and lightweight John Gunderson were also cut following the show.

Drwal has been fighting in the UFC since 2007, and after a shaky start with a loss to Thiago Silva, Drwal went on to produce a three fight unbeaten run.  In 2010 his form has slumped again though with losses to Rousimar Palhares and Dave Branch sealing his fate.

Still only 28, Drwal leaves the promotion with a 3-3 record in the octagon, taking him to 17-4 overall in his mixed martial arts career.

Gunderson’s brief spell in the promotion saw him earn just one win in three outings, taking his career record to 23-8.  The 31 year-old admits that he considered retiring after receiving the news, but has now vowed to continue fighting and find a way back to the sport’s biggest stage.
