The fighter who earned the ‘villain’ tag during the recent TUF 11, Jamie Yager, has been released from the UFC after making his debut at the season finale earlier this month.

There were question marks over Yager’s heart after he quit on his stool during the show, but his loudmouth antics, flashy fighting style and distinctive look made him one of the most talked about characters on the show and gave him the chance to showcase his skills on the main card of the event.

Unfortunately for him he lost the fight to fellow housemate Rich Attonito after running out of steam in the second round, and the UFC have apparently now seen enough to convince them that he’s not worth a permanent place on the roster.  Yager leaves the promotion with an official pro record of 2-2.

Joining him on the way out the door are fellow TUF 11 competitors Josh Bryant, James Hammortree and Seth Baczynski who also lost their fights in the live season finale.

The only fighter on the show who remains on the roster despite losing in the finale is Kris McCray who lost out to Court McGee in the final of the competition.
