The 12th season of The Ultimate Fighter has so far proven to be a solid draw with viewers and last night’s fifth episode drew the best ratings for the season on Spike TV so far.

The figures released today show that 1.9 million people tuned in, up 300,00 viewers from the previous week and producing a 1.34 household rating.

With the exception of the fourth episode the season so far has shown a pleasing trend of week-on-week growth.

  • “The Ultimate Fighter 12” episode No. 1: 1.6 million viewers
  • “The Ultimate Fighter 12” episode No. 2: 1.7 million viewers
  • “The Ultimate Fighter 12” episode No. 3: 1.8 million viewers
  • “The Ultimate Fighter 12” episode No. 4: 1.6 million viewers
  • “The Ultimate Fighter 12” episode No. 5: 1.9 million viewers

There’s a long way to go yet, but that bodes well for the UFC who will pit the current coaches Georges St.Pierre and Josh Koscheck against each other in December at UFC 124.
