Last night’s eight episode of The Ultimate Fighter 12 was perhaps one of the most dramatic of the season so far as Josh Koscheck got into a verbal and ultimately physical confrontation with rival coach Georges St.Pierre’s team medic, but the ratings actually saw a slight dip compared to recent weeks.

The episode drew an average audience of 1.6 million viewers on Spike TV, equaling the numbers seen for the season’s debut, but 300,000 short of last week’s episode.

Still, UFC and Spike TV execs will surely be happy to see that the long running show is continuing to provide solid ratings.  Tryouts for the 13th season are currently underway in Las Vegas.
