After enjoying a couple of weeks of improved ratings, the audience for the 10th episode of TUF 16 plummeted again on Friday night.

An average of just 643,000 viewers tuned into the action on FX, down 278,000 viewers from the previous week which leaves it with the dubious distinction of being the second lowest ratings in the shows history.

The latest slump may have partly been due to the fact that TUF coach Shane Carwin announced earlier in the week that he’d be unable to fight Roy Nelson at the finale next month due to an injury.

However, given the fact that the show aired on the eve of one of the biggest UFC events of the year and that the final episode of the Primetime: GSP Vs Condit show aired immediately afterwards it’s disappointing that it didn’t do better.
