Saturday night’s TUF 17 Finale drew an average of 1.7 million viewers on FX according to official figures released today.
That makes it easily the highest rated of the three TUF Finales on FX, with TUF 15 drawing just 1 million and TUF 16 pulling in 1.3 million viewers.
It’s also one of the most watched live UFC events of any kind during the promotions run on the FX channel so that’s got to be pleasing for all concerned.
Unfortunately this is going to be the last TUF Finale to air on FX as the long-running reality show is now moving to a new on FOX Sports 1 starting with the 18th season in September.
In fact, all the UFC’s programming aside from the ‘UFC On FOX’ shows is heading to FS1 when it launches in August which is good in terms of making it less confusing for viewers to locate the content, but it may take a while for this dedicated sports channel to find it’s feet and it might prove more difficult to draw the kind of ratings they did for Saturday night there.
