TUF 21 To Feature ATT Vs Blackzilians

The UFC are changing things up for the 21st season of The Ultimate Fighter with two world reknowned fight camps American Top Team (ATT) and the Blackzilians set to go head-to-head.

A cast of 16 welterweights looking to make their way to the UFC will be split between the two camps with ATT’s Dan Lambert serving as team coach opposite Blackzilians Glenn Robinson.

There’s no love lost between the two camps as Blackzilians were formed in 2011 when several fighters decided to break away from ATT, starting their own gym just 20 minutes away in Florida, and that rivalry is expected to spice things up considerably.

With that in mind the show will actually be taken on the road away from it’s usual home in Las Vegas in favor of using the two gyms in Florida.

All the fighters will live in a house together during filming, but they will train at their own gym. In further changes to the format match-ups won’t be announced until the weigh-ins and each fight can potentially take place at either gym, meaning one fighter will have ‘home’ advantage.

Closing out the format changes, team-mates will not have to fight each other and the winning team will be awarded $500,000.

TUF 21 premieres on Wednesday, April 21st on FOX Sports 1 with the finale set to take place in the summer.
