There’s good news for fans of the international series of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as the next installment, titled ‘TUF Nations’ which sees Canada go up against Australia, will air on FOX Sports 1.

‘TUF Nations’ will begin airing on Wednesday, January 15th and is expected to follow on from a live event, ‘UFC Fight Night 35’ earlier in the evening.

The coaches for this season are going to be Patrick Cote for the Canadian team, and Kyle Noke for the Australian contingent.  After the show’s conclusion they’ll square off in a welterweight match-up.

As for the cast, the names of the fighters haven’t been revealed as yet, but we do know that it will consist of both welterweight and middleweight prospects.

It’s good to see this series getting a chance to air on FOX Sports 1 and it makes sense as though the ratings for TUF haven’t compared favorably to when they were on other stations like FX and Spike TV, they are still amongst the highest rated shows on FS1.

Also, it helps that there’s going to be two English speaking nations involved as having to add subtitles to previous installments like TUF: Brazil was far from ideal for a show being broadcast during primetime.
