The 12th season of The Ultimate Fighter is currently enjoying a small but steady week-on-week rise in viewing figures.

Last night’s third episode drew 1.8 million viewers on Spike TV, up 100,000 on the previous week’s installment, and 200,000 up on the 1.6 million who tuned into the season premiere.

Showing the series still has legs despite being one of the longest running reality shows on TV, this week’s episode also performed strongly in the household ratings, earning an 1.71 amongst 18-49 year-old males, a 1.9 amongst men between 18-34, and even a 2.3 amongst 25-34 year old males.

The continued success of the show is good news for the UFC who have been working on plans for some time now to make national versions of the program using the same basic format.
