Last night’s UFC 109 event pulled in an audience of 10687 spectators for a gate of $2.27 million according to UFC president Dana White.

On the bonus front Chael Sonnen and Nate Marquardt’s battle for No.1 contendership in the middleweight division earned the ‘Fight Of The Night’ bonus, worth an additional $60,000 each to the fighters.

As for the ‘Knockout Of The Night’, Matt Serra walked away with the cheque for his demolition of Frank Trigg.

Finally, picking up the ‘Submission Of The Night’ award was Paulo Thiago for his impressive D’Arce Choke finish against Mike Swick.
