UFC 110: Bonus Awards And Attendance Figures

The UFC’s first visit to Australia produced an attendance of 17,831, for a $2.5 million gate.  That equates to the largest audience for a UFC event outside of the United States.

Dana White also noted that UFC 110 was the highest grossing sports event in the Acer Arena in the last 10 years, and they also broke the venue’s merchandising record.

As for the fighter bonus awards, George Sotiropolous and Joe Stevenson picked up an additional $50,000 each for putting on the ‘Fight Of The Night’.

The ‘Knockout Of The Night’ award went to Cain Velasquez for being only the second man to finish Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira inside the distance.

Finally Chris Lytle was awarded the ‘Submission Of The Night’ bonus for finishing Brian Foster with a knee bar in the first round of their undercard bout.
