Tomorrow night’s UFC 114 event will feature as many stars outside the octagon as there will be in it.
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the hype surrounding the headline bout between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Rashad Evans appears to have captured the interest of some of the biggest names in sport and on the silver screen.
For instance Rampage’s A-Team co-stars Jessica Biel and Bradley Cooper and the films director Joe Carnahan will be there to cheer him on. Their Hollywood remake of the cult 80’s show, in which Jackson plays the role of B.A Baracus, is due for release in cinemas just two weeks after this weekend’s event.
Other stars from film and TV expected to be in attendance include Oscar winner Forrest Whitaker, Sam Worthington of Avatar fame and Daniel Sunjata from the hit show ‘Rescue Me’.
Meanwhile the likes of rapper Snoop Dogg and comedian David Spade will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of the legendary Mike Tyson, New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs and the NHL All Stars.
Earlier in the week UFC president Dana White stated that there had been more demand for tickets to this event than any other since the historic UFC 100 show last year. Yesterday the promotion announced that the event was officially sold out.
