UFC 115 proved to be a great night of fights for the promotion and in their first outing in Vancouver, Canada they also pulled in a very healthy live gate.

Tickets for the Lidell Vs Franklin event had sold out within minutes of going on sale and that led to an attendance of 17,000 who packed into General Motors Place to see the action unfold.

That amounted to an impressive $4.2 million in gate receipts for the promotion as Canada proved once again to be a lucrative market for the UFC, and indicates why they have been so keen to start a new office in the country.
