Spike TV’s latest live prelim broadcast from UFC 116 drew 1.3 million viewers on Saturday night.  That’s roughly in keeping with previous shows which have fallen in the 1.2 – 1.7 million range.

Saturday night’s broadcast featured Seth Petruzelli Vs Goran Reljic and Brendan Schaub Vs Chris Tuchscherer, and peaked in the final quarter hour of the show with 1.5 million viewers.

The show also garnered a 1.11 rating amongst men aged 18-34, and 1.04 among men aged 18-49, giving Spike second place in basic cable shows in that time-slot.

Meanwhile Spike also aired the UFC 116 weigh-ins live on Friday night for the first time ever and drew 645,000 viewers.  That’s a solid number and could encourage the station execs to consider doing so on a more regular basis in future.
