The Ultimate Fighter Season 12 coaches Georges St.Pierre and Josh Koscheck welterweight title fight will headline December 11th’s UFC 124 event which takes place in Montreal, Canada.
The two men have fought once before in August of 2007, with GSP emerging as the convincing winner on that occasion. Koscheck has battled his way back into contention over the course of the last three years however, going 6-2 in the octagon, while the champion has put together a 7-1 record.
While GSP will no doubt be delighted that the event is taking place in his own backyard in Canada, It’s fair to say that Koscheck will be less thrilled by the prospect.
The outspoken fighter already fought in the city earlier this year, and after being loudly booed throughout the fight, Koscheck made matters worse by getting on the mike and insulted the crowd. He was then pelted with bottles, amongst other things, as he exited the arena.
So far there is no official word on additional bouts being earmarked for the event.
