The weigh-ins for tomorrow night’s UFC 127 event have now concluded, with all the fighters successfully making weight.

The staredown between Michael Bisping and Jorge Rivera promised to be a major highlight after their angry exchange at the pre-fight press conference earlier in the week, and it didn’t disappoint.

Rivera appeared more prepared for Bisping’s verbal assault this time round, but he still played second fiddle to the Brit who was extremely animated, shouting and angrily pointing his finger at Rivera and his trainer who had mocked him in a series of videos leading up to the fight.

Bisping had been booed on his way to the scales, but after this display of passion the crowd cheered him as he exited the stage. It appears he may have won the war of words, but whoever has there hand raised in the Octagon tomorrow night will have the last laugh.

Meanwhile BJ Penn wore his jeans while stepping onto the scales yet still only came in at 167lbs for his welterweight clash with Jon Fitch. Their staredown had a subtle intensity of it’s own, particularly when Penn started to lean into his opponent’s face, causing Dana White to quickly step in and separate them.
