In February a UFC 126 prelim special pulled in record ratings of 2 million on Spike TV, but this weekend’s UFC 128 preliminary show didn’t fair so well.

An average of 1.3 million viewers tuned into the channel on Saturday night pulling in a .85 household rating, in addition to a .93 for men 18-49 and 1.03 for men 18-34.

In fairness this wasn’t the strongest prelim line-up in terms of star power, though Edson Barboza Vs Anthony Njokuani turned out to be the ‘Fight Of The Night’ and Luiz Cane’s TKO over Eliot Marshall claimed joint ‘Knockout Of The Night’ honors.

Spike TV’s coverage of the UFC continues this weekend with UFC Fight Night 24, while both UFC 129 and UFC 130 will feature live prelim shows on the station.
