UFC 132’s prelim special on Spike TV on Saturday night drew an average of 1.2 million viewers, peaking with 1.3 million and an overall 0.8 household rating.

That’s a little on the low side for the series, with the average being closer to 1.4 million. It’s somewhat ironic given that the fights during the hour long show featuring Rafael Dos Anjos Vs George Sotiropoulos and Melvin Guillard vs Shane Roller both produced memorable finishes and set the tone for what proved to be a thoroughly entertaining night of fights.

There’s two chances to improve the ratings coming up soon though, with both UFC 133 and UFC 134 set to have live preliminary action on Spike TV in August.
