UFC 137’s Spike TV prelim special on Saturday night generated surprisingly low TV ratings which an average of just 1.1 million tuning in to watch the two live fights.

That marks it out as one of the worst ever prelim specials on the network since they first began in September of 2009, with only UFC 136 earlier in the same month having gone lower, producing 1 million viewers.

It’s strange to see as the hour long broadcast actually produced two of the most entertaining finishes off the night, and in Donald Cerrone Vs Dennis Siver had one of the best match-up on the entire fight card.

Though it’s not idea the UFC are unlikely to lose any sleep over the ratings slump given that they are leaving Spike for FOX in January anyway.
