The weigh-ins for tomorrow night’s UFC 137 event have now taken place in Las Vegas and you can see what all the fighters tipped the scale at below.
Despite being very cordial in the build-up to their headline bout BJ Penn and Nick Diaz face-off after weighing in was anything but the two appearing to briefly butt heads before being dragged apart.
Diaz then walked off stage before Joe Rogan had a chance to get his thoughts, while Penn simply menacingly stated, “He’s a good opponent, it’s time to fight.”
The mood was much more light-hearted during Roy Nelson’s weigh-in earlier when he came in wearing a fat suit. Despite keeping it on to weigh-in he still tipped the scales at just 252lbs, roughly 8lbs lighter than normal which indicates that he has taken to heart Dana White’s advice that he needed to get in shape.
Meanwhile in another weight-related matter, former lightweight fighter Tyson Griffin came in 3lbs overweight at 149lbs for his featherweight fight and will now be given an extra hour to cut the weight.
