UFC 145: Injuries And Medical Suspensions

Judging by the medical suspensions list for last weekend’s UFC 145 event in Atlanta the majority of fighter’s managed to emerge relatively unscathed from the show.

In fact only two fighters, Mac Danzig and Miguel Torres appear to require significant suspensions after their endeavours in the UFC’s Octagon.

It’s no surprise that Danzig suffered a right ankle injury during his fight at the weekend as the damage he sustained from a heel hook attempt from Efrain Escudero was clearly evident in the latter stages.  Despite the severe swelling Danzig was able to continue fighting and won the fight by decision, but will now be suspended indefinitely until the extent of the damage can be assessed.

Meanwhile, after suffering a quick knockout at the hands of Michael MacDonald, veteran fighter Miguel Torres will now have to sit out for the next 60 days and requires a CT scan.
