We’ve got a long wait ahead of us for the next big UFC event with UFC 145 not taking place until April 21st, but it’ll be worth it as it features one of the biggest fights of the year as light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones takes on his sworn enemy, Rashad Evans.

Even better, the UFC have just announced that they will be delivering a three part ‘UFC Primetime’ special in the weeks leading up to the bout giving fans a chance to behind-the-scenes as both men prepare for what could be the biggest fights of their career so far.

The first episode will air on Friday, April 6th on FX at 11pm ET with two other episodes set to air on the following Friday’s before the fight goes down for real in Atlanta.

Former training partners and friends who’s relationship has since turned sour, Jones and Evans are a perfect pairing to be given the ‘UFC Primetime’ treatment.

Jones is currently the fastest rising star in the sport, rapidly growing into his role as a fighter the UFC can rely on to help grow their brand in the coming years, while Evans has already been to the top of the hill as a past 205lb champion and is a master at hyping fights as he proved beyond any doubt when his trash-talking antics with Quinton ‘Rampage’ jackson propelled their eventual fight to over one million pay-per-view buys.

With those ingredients this certainly has the opportunity to be one of the most watched editions of ‘Primetime’ to date.
