Cain Velasquez made short work of Antonio Silva at UFC 146 last weekend, but it appears he may have broken his left hand in the process.
If so the former champion could be out for up to six months which would delay a potential title fight with Junior Dos Santos.
Meanwhile, his opponent ‘Bigfoot’ is also facing up to six months on the sidelines if it’s confirmed that his nose is broken.
A number of other fighters could be out until November 20th including Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller who was confirmed to have a problem with his left knee which appeared to hamper his performance in the fight and also injured his right thumb. The suspension shouldn’t affect him though since he’s since claimed that he’s retiring from the sport after being released by the UFC.
His opponent CB Dollaway also has to deal with an injured thumb while the injury-prone Jamie Varner may have broken his hand in his triumphant return to the promotion and Jacob Volkmann somehow has a string of injuries to one of his knees, elbows and thumbs despite being tapped under two minutes into his fight.
