UFC 162’s preliminary coverage on FX was watched by an average of 1.363 million viewers on Saturday night.

That’s up slightly on the overall average for the UFC’s prelim shows on the channel and is considerably better than the sub-par 968,000 viewers that UFC 161’s undercard drew last month.

The UFC 162 post-fight coverage also performed well as viewers tuned into Fuel TV to see all the post-fight reactions to Anderson Silva’s shock upset.

An average of 214,000 viewers tuned into the show, making it the ninth most watched program in the channel’s history.

The shockwaves from Chris Weidman’s victory were also felt online as record-breaking numbers were experienced at UFC.com for the post-fight press conference.
