UFC 170 Prelims: TV Ratings

Saturday night’s UFC 170 prelims drew an average of 936,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1.

That’s almost exactly what UFC 169’s prelims did (933,000 viewers) and not far of UFC 167’s 988,000 viewers, suggesting that they are finding some level of consistency for these appetizers to their pay-per-view events after a spell where they were dipping south of the 800,000 mark.

However, UFC 170’s numbers were no match for UFC 168’s which drew 1.55 million viewers. Last weekend’s event headliner Ronda Rousey did feature on that card too, though the ratings spike on that occasion was largely credited to the buzz surrounding the main event on the pay-per-view card between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.
