Fight Report

Prelims:

Urijah Faber defeats Alex Caceres by submission (rear-naked choke) at 1.09mins of Rd3

Caceres put up a spirited performance tonight against Faber, making the veteran work hard in the clinch for his takedowns. Faber rarely gave him room to breathe or get his flashy strikes off though, constantly pushing the pace, looking for and landing a number of takedowns along the way. In the end his persistence paid off as he caught a leg kick early in the third round from Caceres and used it to take him to the mat before quickly shifting to his back and applying the fight-ending choke.

Kenny Robertson defeats Ildemar Alcantara by unanimous decision (30-26 x3)

Robertson was able to dominate Alcantara on the mat over the course of 15 minutes here, feeding him a steady diet of ground and pound without ever going all out for a finish inside the distance.

Bruno Santos defeats Chris Camozzi by split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29)

Santos used takedowns and top control in the second and third rounds of this fight to grind out a decision victory.

Rob Font defeats George Roop by KO at 2.19mins of Rd1

Wow, Font knocks Roop senseless early in the opening round here. Font clocked him with a huge right hook that stopped Roop in his tracks and left him sink awkwardly almost in slow motion to the canvas. Roop wasn’t completely out, but he’d temporarily lost control of his body and so the referee rightly swooped in to save him from further punishment.

Luke Zachrich defeats Guilherme Vasconcelos by unanimous decision (30-27 x2, 29-28)

A competitive stand-up battle was served up here, with Zachrich doing enough over the course of three rounds to earn a unanimous decision win.

Kevin Casey defeats Bubba Bush by TKO at 1.01mins of Rd1

Casey got the night off to a swift start as he took just 61 seconds to stop Bubba Bush, first dropping him with a left hand before a barrage of elbows on the ground sealed the TKO stoppage.
