UFC 198 Medical Suspensions

UFC 198 Poster

The list of medical suspensions resulting from UFC 198 has been released and shows a number of fighters facing 30 days or more on the sidelines as a result of the injury they sustained during their fights at the sold out event in Curitiba, Brazil this past Saturday night.

Warlley Alves faces six months on the sidelines after he suffered a broken orbital bone during his unexpected loss to Bryan Barberena in the opening bout of the evening’s main card.

It’s perhaps unsurprising that Yancy Medeiros is also out for six months for a suspected broken orbital bone after coming out on the wrong end of the decision in his ‘Fight of The Night’ war with Francisco Trinaldo in the prelims.

Meanwhile, Vitor Belfort will be out for two months, while Fabricio Werdum is sidelined for 45 days.
