Dana White has announced that this weekend’s UFC 331 event in Los Angeles, California will feature an additional $50,000 ‘Proper Chaos’ bonus award for one worthy fighter.
It seems that this isn’t going to be something fighters should get accustomed at future events though as it appears to just be a one-off award to help promote the launch of the new season of the popular crime drama ‘Mobland’ on Paramount+.
“Long before I did a deal with Paramount, I’ve been telling you guys I’m a huge fan of MobLand,” White said on Instagram. “It is one of the best shows on television. Here we go: season two premieres this Friday on Paramount+ the night before UFC 331 in LA, so for one night only, we’re bringing a little proper chaos into the Octagon.
“At UFC 331, we are unlocking the ‘Proper Chaos’ bonus: $50,000 awarded to the fighter who I think deserves it most.”
Presumably the award will go to the fighter who puts in the most aggressive, show-stopping performance on the night, and so most likely will be someone who will also be scooping up either a $100,000 ‘Fight Of The Night’ or ‘Performance Of The Night’ award too.
