Back in April the UFC began to put on their events an hour earlier at 9pm Eastern Time to ensure that fans in certain regions didn’t have to stay up too late to watch the full show.

It appears that the move didn’t prove to be a huge success however as they have now announced that from UFC 141 on December 30th onwards they will be reverting back to their original 10pm ET slot.

A source tells USAToday that the decision was made after, “careful consideration and feedback from our fans.”

The UFC has had a string of sub-par pay-per-view performances this year and that may also have been a significant factor in their decision.

While the time switch has likely been made with North American fans in mind it does also impact those further afield, with UK fans for instance now returning to their grim 3-6am graveyard shift which is likely to put off many casual fans.
