UFC Confirm Poland, Scotland And Germany Events In 2015

The UFC have announced three European ‘Fight Night’ events which will be taking place later this year in Poland, Scotland and Germany.

First up the UFC will head to Poland for the first time on April 11th with Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic returning to rematch Gabriel Gonzaga in the main event at UFC Fight Night 64.

Their previous meeting produced one of the biggest upsets in UFC history as Gonzaga turned the tables on ‘Cro Cop’ by knocking him out with a head kick all the way back at UFC 70 in 2007.

The co-main event for the Polish show will see Jimi Manuwa take on Poland’s own Jan Blachowicz in a light-heavyweight encounter.

Moving on, the UFC will then head back to Berlin, Germany on June 20th for UFC Fight Night 69. No other details are available for this show yet, but like the Polish event this one will air on the UFC Fight Pass subscription service.

Finally, the UFC will make their long awaited debut in Scotland for UFC Fight Night 73 on July 11th at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

The word is that this event will be the only one of the three freshly announced European events to be aired on FOX Sports 1, with expectations high that the notoriously passionate Scottish fans will deliver a similar atmosphere as has previously been enjoyed when the UFC visited Ireland.

Again there’s no fights yet announced for this show, but Scotland’s own TUF 20 star Joanne Calderwood is certain to feature.
